Review of Bounce (2000) by Daniel K — 13 May 2012
2: Genre is pretty funny. The whole movie one is kept waiting for the inevitable conclusion. We know that at some point Affleck's character will have to come clean to Paltrow's, and we know when it will happen (in the third act prior to their happily ever after, and we know essentially exactly how every part of the plot will play out.
It's still somehow watchable though. It's a slightly darker romantic comedy than is typical, which sets it apart a bit. The other element that sets it apart are the ways in which it reminds one of 9/11 (the film was made in 2000).
Pretty much a throwaway picture, which means it is watchable, but not memorable.
