Review of Bottle Shock (2008) by Peter V — 11 Apr 2009
Heavy-handed and often clunky telling of how California's Napa Valley became a well-known wine region. Good actors are on show here, but Alan Rickman is allowed to be too hammy. Its one of the better roles I've seen Bull Pullman in.
Chris Pine is awful. The thing I kept thinking was 'why should I care?'. There's just not enough (in the story or the telling) to get viewers excited. Leave on the shelf.
