Review of Bottle Shock (2008) by Adam B — 08 May 2009
Since I majored in Enology, I found the story about the emerging California wine industry coming to age against the much snobbier French wine industry. It brought back memorise when I toured the Silverado Trail and visited Clos du Val for the first time and then moving up to Stag Leap and Silver Oak wineries.
The wines were excellent then and it was nice to see it was recognized in the world stage.
This movies gives a small glance of the California wineries at that time, but I think it took liberties of some facts. However, it was an interesting story.
