Review of Bottle Shock (2008) by Josh R — 14 Nov 2009

Telling the true story of Napa Valley's surprise burst onto the world wine stage, I found this film to be infinitely more fun, engaging and entertaining than the other big film about wine, "Sideways.

" This is definitely a movie that makes you root for the underdog, even if said underdog ended up making the most perfect chardonnay ever. It tells a very human story with tenderness and humor while thumbing its nose at the stuffier wine snobbery of the wider world.

I highly recommend it to everybody.
