Review of Bottle Shock (2008) by Lilianetty L — 25 Aug 2011
It's slow, sometimes the rythm comes and goes, the cast is marvelous in all ways, but still, a movie about WINE is just a movie that for those non alcoholical people (alcohol drink of any case), won't even care. I cared just on the story-telling and cast, but I just don't like drinks that hurt me as a person (even if wine it is said that is good for the heart, but RED WINE not any WINE).
Plot: Steven has got to LA to see if the wine prepared by Barrett, Sam and the rest of the people there, is good enough to win a French competition of wines. How this will end? Will Sam end with Gustavo or Barrett? Will Jim accept this fate about wine competition? Is his lucky day or not? Check the film, is quite interesting, so, stars for the effort made by the cast and crew.
Acting: Alan Rickman as Steven was marvelous and funny. I mean, he nailed the role in a very well mood. Chris as Barrett was great also, but that's it, great. Freddy as Gustavo estuvo increible, fantastico, fenomenal. I think he has the potencial some actors need this days (including the NEW ones). Rachael as Sam was stunning and incredible too. She nailed her role very well. Bill as Jim was great, and is a character that you will hate or love, but still is hatefull, since he nailed the role. The rest did great, but that's IT. Stars for every cast effort, since ACTING is not an easy job.
Music: Colorful, intense in some points, joyful and fantastic. The musicians deserve some stars for the effort made on this lovely score.
