Review of Bottle Rocket (1993) by Alexander J — 15 Jan 2009
Suprisingly enough, more convincing than its big brother in feature film format made two years later. This short, which got Anderson and the Wilsons to Sundance, is a remarkeable 13-minute oddball comedy with hilarious dialogue (which has developed into a trademark for both Anderson and the Wilson brothers) and really good editing.
It's swift, funny and doesn't drag on as much as the feature does. Black and white does its part, too. This is where it all started. Perfect example of how to kick off a moviemaking/acting career.
