Review of Born to Fight (1984) by Peter N — 30 Jul 2012
The most redeeming aspect of this little known Thai film is the fact that it inspired Tony Jaa, who has become one of the most exciting martial arts stars in recent history. The production values are what one would expect from a Thai B movie, and having only seen this movie in Thai, I'm not sure what American audiences would be able to take away from it (or how well it has been translated for that matter).
This film is probably only worth checking out if you are a fan of Tony Jaa's martial arts style or the metamorphosis of Thai cinema.
