Wish I liked it more but its way too long, dull and feels like its been done before much better. Cruise does some good stuff but it I got the feelin that its all a bit like "gimme an oscar please" self importance.
Its not to diminish its point of view and message but with platoon and apocalypse now and even deer hunter addressing vietnam so memorably this does feel a bit like a wannabe thats just stating the same things.
