Not Stone's best movie, but a very moving one. Tom Cruise definitely delivers his best performance ever in this film as a Vietnam vet trying to find his meaning of life after being fatally wounded in the war.
The depiction of American war veterans may be hard to swallow for some, but I guess Stone manages to critisize the war itself without mocking them too much.
