Review of Born on the Fourth of July (1989) by Jihan B — 07 Jun 2008
Oliver Stone rightfully won an oscar, this film is beautifully shot. I cannot even begin to describe how brilliant the direction is - the colours, the angles, everything - especially in the Massepequa scenes. Just beautiful.
The production design is fantastic, too. They really recreate the american 1950's/60's small town look convincingly. John Williams' score as usual enhances the film.
