Review of Born into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids (2004) by Jenny D — 26 Jun 2007
Kids born into the redlight district in india are shamed from birth becasue most of their family either are prostitutes or are ashamened in their society. a women decides to give some of these children cameras and see thier world from the childrens perspective.
the documentary shows the hardships and unfairness they have to deal with on a daily basis. heartbreaking but extremely powerful. this documentary defiantly makes you apperciate the gifts you've been given and also encourages you to take a closer look into the lives these "children" endure.
