Review of Born into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids (2004) by Ashley S — 19 Feb 2008
To me, the documentary was more about the childrens' lives in poverty than in brothels. The filmmakers did not film much of the brothel itself; it would have hit audiences harder if we went deeper into the brothels.
We are aware that some of these children are at risk of becoming prostitutes, but most of the movie is about them getting into schools. It's still a good film anyway.
