Review of Born into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids (2004) by L M — 18 Sep 2008
Well, this movie put my problems in perspective. By that, I mean that I have no problems. At all. I admired the documentarian for getting some of these kids into boarding schools, but I feel that in some ways she was exploiting the kids by teaching them photography and taking the pictures back to the West.
Sure, the kids benefitted from her attention, but so did she.
