Review of Born into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids (2004) by Henrietta S — 01 Mar 2009
It was heartbreaking to watch the living conditions of the kids in this documentary. Zana Aunty was a beacon of light with her photography club. The kids were all v. sweet, despite all the filth around them (both literally & figuratively) but my faves were Avijit & the feisty little girl with no siblings (can't remember her name).
I'd have liked to see more of Avijit's artwork. He was truly gifted.
