Review of Born into Brothels: Calcutta's Red Light Kids (2004) by Crystal R — 14 Aug 2009
This was really wonderful - beautifully filmed, genuine, empathic, and a look into a reality most of us are not exposed to or even aware of.
It is good to learn more about our world, broaden our view, and also broaden our reach to help people less fortunate. This film may inspire someone to take such steps.
It is not often that somebody in a privileged position does something to help people in less fortunate positions - and in such a personal, kind, and generous fashion.
This documentary is both heartbreaking and heartwarming.
I definitely recommend it.
Also, it lasts 1 hr and 23 mins, not 2 hrs!!
