Review of Borderland (2007) by Christine W — 05 Jul 2008
Torture, mutilation, dismemberment, south-of-the-border debauchery and...a hobbit? Sean Astin as a bad-guy cult member is one the many things that elevate Borderland many "cuts" above the typical slasher film.
Beto Cuevas, front man of the Chilean rock band "La Ley" is snaky-sexy and evil as the drug lord/cult leader and I never, ever want to meet someone like Marco Bacuzzi's character in a dark alley.
Don't recommend watching this alone in a Mexican hotel room, like I did!
