Review of Book Club (2018) by Daena F — 16 May 2018

Book Club was a delight to watch! I laughed aloud throughout the entire film, as did most of the audience.The four female stars delivered their lines with mastery and were a joy (nay, thrill!) to watch on-screen.

The fellows were pure charm too. The storyline itself had many elements of Hollywood fantasy, pulled down to earth with sharp humor, which was the perfect blend. I went with my dad and suffered only minor embarrassment from the Viagra jokes, which were hardly as canned as that may sound.

We both adored it. The film really showed how you gotta keep giving life your all, no matter what your age. I teared up at the end. Wish there were more fun, sweep-me-away romantic comedies like this in theaters.

I'd probably go more often.
