Review of Boogie Nights (1997) by Fallon H — 12 Jan 2012
All hail Paul Thomas Anderson! This is his breakout film and it's easy to see why. It's incredibly directed, intricate, entertaining, heartbreaking, funny, uplifting, and a billion other positive adjectives.
There's just so much emotion here, but this isn't quite as refined as, say, PTA's later films like "Magnolia" and "There Will Be Blood." Regardless, this is still a great, memorable film that, unlike porn, deserves to be watched repeatedly.
