Review of Boogie Nights (1997) by Cole R — 16 Feb 2013
Promising movie that loses steam after a while. The performances from Marky Mark, Burt Reynolds, John C., and Tom Jane are all great. So many plot lines for different characters...it's too much. It focuses mostly on Wahlberg and Reynold's stories, but then has these smaller stories with Luiz Guzman and Don Cheadle, and they are dealt so very little that they almost make no sense and ultimately feel pointless.
It's over and hour longer than it should be. But besides that, it's a very good movie, especially the last 20 minutes.
