Review of Bonnie and Clyde (1967) by 261747 B — 08 Dec 2009
This was one of those turning point movies of the sixties. Like Easy Rider this film made a major impact on where films that followed it could go.
Wild and crazy thrill kill couple on the run. Both beautiful with born to lose tattooed all over them.
The story behinf the making of this film was just as interesting. Beatty had shopped the scrpt all around and the major studios wanted to do a simple romance flick, but thanks to a lot of careful maneuvering Beatty and Penn managed to come out with a violent and disturbing tale!
Excellent supporting cast.
The slow motion blood bath at the end of the movie was a cinematic milestone!
Note* Watch for Denver Pyle the actor who gained fame on the Dukes of Hazzard later in life, a fine character actor. Also keep an eye out for the then unknown Gene Wilder.
