So much has been said of the influence of Bonnie and Clyde that you can sometimes forget that aside from completely altering the DNA of American cinema, it's still arguably the greatest crime movie of the last 40 years. The travails of Bonnie and Clyde were depicted in perfect visceral fashion, with raw cinematography displaying uninhibited violence and making every shot count. B and C's adventures always seem to teeter between implosion and ecstasy, and these feelings are transferred from the screen to the audience brilliantly.

Rebellion is everywhere, but Bonnie and Clyde are two of a kind.
