Review of Bonnie and Clyde (1967) by Amanda C — 14 Aug 2010
There is so much to love in this film. Beautiful cinematography, fantastic performances from all involved, a solid script and a nice little cameo from Gene Wilder. It does a wonderful job of being wonderfully entertaining and funny as well as horrifically violent. The end is absolutely brutal, shocking and a perfect ending to the film, which manages to surprise even though I knew what was coming.
The editing is slightly shoddy, but it doesn't matter because everything else is fantastically gripping, that many of the bad graphic matches go unnoticed.
