Review of Bonnie and Clyde (1967) by Monster L — 26 Jul 2011
It's great watching these films and seeing how far the acting craft has come...but it's also kind of sad in noting how script writing has regressed.
Anyhow, I'm not of the common mind that this is a cinematic masterpiece, but it is enjoyable fare that does more fantastical glorification of Bonnie and Clyde's exploits than even approaching a glimpse as to who these figures of modern criminology lore actually were.
...and Estelle Parsons was overacting her ass off. How did she win the Oscar for best supporting actress that year?
