Review of Bonnie and Clyde (1967) by Brenton A — 29 Jun 2012
Not sure that Bonnie and Clyde deserves its status as a classic film - even the famous line "We rob banks" doesn't seem to really pack any punch in context. The story is a great Americana tragedy, and mostly well acted by Beatty, Dunaway, and Hackman, but the direction is strangely choppy and the plot-lines go off in disparate directions with almost nothing truly resolved.
