Fine performance from Kurt Russell, On par with Geoff Bridges in 'True Grit'. A similar air of True Grit to this movie too, that and the hills have eyes. I also thought Patrick Wilson delivered well, showing a believable portrail of a man with an infected leg in a desert, made we wince throughout. A pleasant suprise to see the underrated actor in a horror film that didn't turn to shit half way through.
A lot of gore in this one, with one of the most difficult to watch death scenes I have seen in a long time. Don't let that put you off though. If you like a solid western then get this down your gob. Good script, unique characters and a rather gripping watch.
