Review of Bombay (1995) by Cyrille L — 10 Nov 2007
Having lived in Bombay during the '93 riots and bomb blasts, this movie holds special significance for me.
It is a little over-dramatized, but for the most part accurately depicts just how crazy things got, with emotions running wild amongst both Hindus and Muslims. Also, the Hindu-Muslim marriage story is unfortunately still a big deal for many even in a city like Bombay.
