Review of Bolt (2008) by Rory D — 27 May 2012

Bolt offers plenty of charm, but the story.....The stories of all the 3D animated films are beginning to blur together.

Does this sounds familiar:

Character lives a happy life.

Character gets lost, gets sad, and meets friends.

Character has a falling-out with friends.

Some stuff happens.

Everyone apologizes.

Character finds way back home.

Everyone lives happily ever after. The End.

See, all too familiar. Luckily, the comedy makes up for the semi-formulaic plot.

All-in-all it's a good family movie, but next time I review a film like this, I hope to give it 4 stars.
