Review of Bol Bachchan (2012) by Murali B — 07 Jul 2012
The NY Times review does not do justice to this movie. I went to watch with a lot of apprehension but this is a laugh riot!! Not your intellectual light comedy; no question it is crude; no question the plot is a direct lift from Golmal buy Krishna, Abhishek and Ajay turned this into a crazy laugh riot. Krishna is just awesome with his comic timing; years of experience doing comedy shows on TV shows in his delivery. DO NOT MISS THIS if especially if you are native Hindi speaker; others can also enjoy but timing and meaning of some dialogues will likely skip you if Hindi is not your primary language and subtitles cannot do justice.
In a nutshell, a must see as long as you can ignore the south Indian style fight scenes and don't worry too much about the overall not so practical plot.
Krishna and Abhishek steal the show in acting whereas Ajay's delivery of Hindi idioms in English are superb; a lot of credit goes to Dialogue writer Farhad for overall success of this movie.
Please watch it in a theater!!!
