Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Carl L — 17 Nov 2018
Frankly, Freddy Mercury is not a historical figure who requires detailed accuracy is the portrayal of his life. He was a consummate entertainer, and this movie is consummately entertaining. Rami Malek's performance is worthy of an Oscar consideration.
It was like being at a movie and a Queen concert all rolled into one. The movie is fast paced and well directed. The dialog witty and crisp. And the final concert scene awesome. At the end of the movie, the pretty sophisticated Upper West Side NY audience gave it a standing ovation, and justifiably so.
You leave the movie exhilarated.
