Bohemian Rhapsody is a fantastic flick. Biopics are tough to pull off because with an iconic band like Queen what aspects of the band does the director focus on? Undoubtedly Freddie Mercury was arguably the best frontman ever and then there's his private life which has been the subject of many documentaries.

Thankfully Brian May and Roger Taylor served as musical consultants who parlayed their knowledge of personal history to Malek and Boynton. The cast of Queen's other band members was excellent and the choice to focus on the plight of the band juxtaposed with other subplots like Freddie's unique relationship with Mary Austin and the band's creative impetus behind songs like Bohemian Rhapsody and Another One Bites the Dust was intriguing.

Another huge plus for Diehard Queen fans like myself was to hear the great music of Queen's music as the film's musical score. All in all Queen shined as one of the greatest rock bands ever and this film delivered a masterful look of what made Queen so phenomenal.

The end of the film's four song set at Live Aid was overwhelming. This performance has been hailed as the best live performance of all time. In this film it's depicted as a "last hurrah" as the band bonds after learning of Freddie's Aids diagnosis.

The band heals to deliver the magic that made them one of the best rock bands ever. I would be surprised if Rami Malek doesn't take away an Oscar for his masterful performance. I'll.
