Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Ryan F — 10 Nov 2018
Having seen Queen live in the 1970's, I didn't think that I wanted to see the movie because I didn't want it to "spoil" my real-life memories of the band. However, after learning about how May and Taylor, as well as others, worked with the cast to make the story as authentic as possible, I had to go see it.
It was wonderful. The 2 hours and 14 minutes flew by quickly. Critics might complain that some of it was not accurate... such as Freddie never crowdsurfed, or Freddie didn't know he had AIDS until after the Live Aid concert, are nitpicking in my opinion.
The move captures the essence and excitement of Freddie Mercury and Queen. I'm glad I went!
