Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Allyson R — 04 Nov 2018
We've missed Freddie for so long, coupled with his brothers that comprise "Queen". This film was like seeing a long lost friend, but that friend who is nearly untouchable because of their insurmountable amount of talent that we can only sit back and watch them shine and wish we could be just like them.
That was the likes of Elvis Presley, Prince, James Brown and Freddie Mercury. Givers to the max, laid it all out there.....for us. This film is not an Oscar contender, it doesn't need to be, the fans have already spoken.
Enjoy a couple of stolen hours with Freddie and the boys, their music, their personal shortcomings, their zest for fun and freshness and originality. No secrets or surprises or revelations in this film.
Only pure unadulterated celebration. And don't be surprised if on your way home in your car, where you might ordinarily turn the radio on for some music......you won't this time.
