Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Wayne D — 02 Nov 2018
I am a harsh critic but this movie is very good. Not an excellent film but very good and a worthy watch. A PG version of Freedy and the band with the touch of smaltz these biopics get. Whether La Bamba, I walk the Line, or any other film about singers or a band, they all tend to touch the sentimentality stone.
This film also plays fast and loose with timing and facts but rather immaterial to the overall essence of the film which is fairly accurate. Having lived during the time of this band with Freddie as front man, I can say that the overall feeling one gets after watching the film is a fair depiction of what Queen is all about.
And many of us knew Freddie was gay the moment A Night at the Opera album was released.
