Review of Body Snatchers (1993) by Brett B — 22 Oct 2012
The third of four (FOUR!) versions of the material, this one plays with some decent variations on the familiar tropes, but it feels way too small in scope to properly service the concept. The cast is good, and Ferrara tries to keep things interesting from a visual standpoint, but as I said, the limited focus doesn't give him too much room to really make this version stand apart (in a positive way) from the two vastly superior previous entries.
Still, it's better than THE INVASION, but that's not really saying a whole lot.
