Review of Body Heat (1981) by Sarah O — 27 May 2007
This was a fantastic film with fantastic performances from Hurt and Turner. But it was truly the direction that made this movie what it was. Kasdan experimented with some very unique camera angles and really hooked the audience from the beginning.
When Matty and Ned first made love, how was it possible not to feel that passion, that heat, that ecstasy welling up inside of you? I don't mean in a sexual sense--I mean that you could literally feel what the characters were feeling.
It was duplicitous, fascinating, suspenseful, and sizzling. I recommend it to anyone!
