Review of Body Heat (1981) by Ted E — 25 Oct 2007
When it was released in 1981 "Body Heat" caused a sensation and introduced the world to Kathleen Turner whose smouldering performance as a femme fatale made her a superstar overnight. Inspired by the film noir classic "Double Indemnity", it was also the first film for writer-director Lawrence Kasdan.
Although it began a craze of copycat erotic thrillers that continues to this day, none of them can hold a candle. "Body Heat" delivers the goods. It's both erotic and thrilling.
