Review of Bob the Butler (2005) by Paul N — 16 Dec 2006
I don't care what anyone thinks about Tom Green, he is one of the most talented comic actors I've ever seen.
Bob the Butler is a tamer Tom as he tackles a more family oriented movie. Tom Green plays a character named Bob Tree who can't hold down a job. Bob decides to go through the phone book looking for jobs. The movie begins as he nears the end of the B's and sees an ad for a 5-day butler course.
What we get in the end is some of Tom Green's tamer comedy but still every bit as funny with some heartfelt moments as Bob tree connects with the family he buttles for.
Give this one a rent, even if you don't like Tom Green. You may be surprised because this movie may be right up your alley.
"Technically Bob would be short for Bobert".
"Your name is Bobert?".
"No, just Bob".
