Review of Bob Roberts (1992) by Steve S — 07 Nov 2008
:fresh: :fresh: :fresh: 1/2 (out of four).
Clever and frightening insightful look at the rise a political star that unites the conservative base of the Republican Party..

Tim Robbins is perfect as Bob Roberts and folk singer who uses his songs to make his follows feel good about America and to make them hate those against him. The most frightening aspect of this is to see how on-target it is. Many things it shows is exactly the way the right ran their 2008 campaign, with its labeling and pandering. Stay away from the issues and attempt to scare people away from the truth..
