Review of Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969) by Rod A — 01 Jul 2009
I was impressed with the standard of honesty this film demands. While some of the sentiments are dated, the underlying desire for people to open up and get a handle on their impulses is just as valid today as it was in 1969.
Natalie Wood and Dyan Cannon could stand to be stronger individuals in their portrayals. Also, there is no mention of bi or homo sexuality. Despite its mainstream comfort, I enjoyed its attempt to push the envelope.
