Review of Blue Velvet (1986) by Jorban J — 29 Oct 2010
One of Lynch's most famous and best films. With a strong cast boasting the likes of MacLachlan and Hopper, we get a strong erotic thriller set in 1950's America. We are shown the dark and sadistic element of a corrupt and agressive man with his fetishes and dark psyche.
The twisted images and emotions conveyed in the film pretty much sum up the plot of this film which gets stranger and more dangerous. Great work from Lynch, bewildering cinema goers for decades.
