Review of Blue Velvet (1986) by Andrew R — 29 Mar 2011
This is up there with Se7en and Silence of the Lambs as being one of the best thrillers ever made. The dark tone, and creepy film style has you engrossed till the end. There were so many questions left open, but they were left open intentionally.
You only know what the main character knows, and he is not an omnipotent being. Dennis Hopper delivers a disturbing, yet superb performance as Frank Booth. This film had me thinking what I would do in these situations, and had me guessing till the very end.
