Blue Velvet is viewed by many as Lynch's masterpiece and while I don't quite share that view I can see why so many people have taken to that opinion. Dennis Hopper is superb as the psychotic Frank and Kyle MacLachlan, much like in Twin Peaks, seems to thrive under the direction of Lynch.
