Review of Blue Velvet (1986) by John A — 07 Sep 2014
An Excellent Twist On The Old Fashioned Coming Of Age Story. David Lynch Directs This Shocking And Absurd Tale Of A Young Man Who Falls Into The Criminal Underworld Of His Small Town When He Finds A Human Ear In A Field.
The Plot Is Basic But With Lynch's Direction And Excellent Performances From Both Kyle MacLachlan & Dennis Hopper Make This Entertaining Viewing. Lynch's Subject Points Touch On The Disturbing, Shocking, Perverse, Funny, Unsettling, Scathing & Surrealism.
Blue Velvet Is Undeniably Original And Is A Masterpiece, But This Will Be One You Either Love Or Hate.
