Review of Blue Valentine (2010) by Oscar D — 04 Mar 2012

There have been few films in the past few years that have moved me as much as this one did showcasing the rise and fall of a relationship simultaneously through the smart and realistic script and under the great direction of Cianfrance Gosling and Williams had me cheering for them but also showed me the heartbreak of being together when something isn't working out.

Gosling especially put forth such a realistic performance I felt as though I was watching the dissolution of a relationship before my eyes as though it were my own parents, its beautiful, gripping and devastating.
