A genuinely uncomfortable take on relationships which is anchored by 2 actor's at the top of their game...

Cianfrance deconstructs the beginning of this relationship whilst simultaneously showing it crumbling and the attempts to save it. This is one of the more believable relationship portrayals where you can relate to both sides. It's a tough watch but with this cast and crew it's difficult not to get invested in what is being shown...
