Review of Blue Jasmine (2013) by Al M — 17 May 2014

While the film features superb acting from Blanchett and Co, there is little here to recommend this film. Allen demonstrates again that he has no real style as a director any more, and the plot features characters that deserve what they get for being idiots and superficial douchebags.

Everyone in this film sucks except for Andrew Dice Clay's character who is the real victim of the film as he gets fucked over by the capitalist pigs. This is a film written by an overly wealthy entitled pig who fears the consequences of losing his wealth and privilege.
