Review of Blue Jasmine (2013) by Sanyrub — 19 Apr 2015
One of the best Woody Allen fims in the last 20 years. Absolutely amazing, tragic and comedic main character played by a perfect Cate Blanchet with an incredible range of emotions. She definitely owned the role and got a very deserved Oscar for it (it is a pleasure when an award like the oscar goes to the right person, like in this case or in Natalie Portman or Anne Hathaway´s recent cases).
The supporting cast is in grape shape too, especially the actress playing Cate Blanchet´s sister. Great dialogues as always. You have to love these film makers who keep pushing the art of film making (and not just visual effects fests) nowadays.
