Well, everyone is talking about this because of the sex scenes (and they are quite explicit) and the slave-driving director, but those only a small part of the story of this Palme D'Or winner from France.
The two leads are stunning in this emotionally raw and nuanced journey through the coming-of-age of a young girl in France. Adele strives toward finding her place in the world with regards to family, career, and sexuality with such passion, that the 3+ hour running time and years of story pass by in the blink of an eye.
It's an intense experience that will make you reflect on it after the credits roll.
