Review of Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) by Kyle G — 22 Jun 2014
The performances are beyond fantastic. It's overlong but then again it is covering a number of years in their lives.
The completely graphic scenes between the two leads start coming off as gratuitous after a few minutes, and I considered the length of one of the scenes (the first one I think) as an indicator of exploitation and fast-forwarded through it. And I'm a straight male, so that goes to show how uncomfortable it can be watching these scenes.
