Review of Blue Caprice (2013) by Thomas K — 26 May 2014
The creative team are really onto something here, and the atmosphere they create is tantalizing, but they have no real knack for suspense and that drags the film down in the long run. It is great to see Time Blake Nelson and Joey Lauren Adams again, and Isaiah Washington is mesmerizing.
Unfortunately the film either works or doesn't because of Tequan Richmond as the "son" and he's really not up to it. It's worth seeing but be forewarned.
